a novel about kindness
In the 80s, I lived on Shelter Island in N.Y. and worked for the local newspaper. Many Island stories came my way. I dressed them differently and put them on “Corycian Island,” but it’s all here and some of it is actually true. It’s a new age on the Island. At the dawn of the 20th c.the putrid smelling, fish oil factories have been replaced by gingerbread, resort cottages. World weary-visitors meet other-worldly Islanders and a storm of spirit “be wit’ in you and wit’ out you, don’t ya know.”
